Women of all ages can experience pelvic organ shift especially after childbirth, during peri-menopause and in the years after menopause, so developing healthy pelvic and abdominal muscles is vital to our well-being.
Like any other muscle in the body, the pelvic floor muscles can be imbalanced, which in turn can affect performance and function. Pressure from lifting, pregnancy, childbirth, hormones, etc, can weaken abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. This can lead to infections, urine incontinence, prolapse, overall back pain and pressure on nerves, which in turn can produce discomfort and pain in various parts of the body.

In this innovative one-day workshop we will be answering the above questions and looking at the anatomy of the pelvic floor and core in detail using simple functional exercise & movement, breath-work and more.
There will be discussion about the way food impacts on the health of the pelvis and advice about naturopathic methods that will enable you to heal and support this crucial part of your body.
We will also be exploring the emotional connection we have with the pelvic floor; the attached underlying belief systems and the individual/collective consciousness that we cling onto in this part of the body.
Our aim is for you to leave this workshop with practical knowledge and a greater understanding of this integral part of your body, which you can then integrate into your daily life and apply to your new or current exercise regime.

Chronic stress can wreak havoc on the mind and body which is why it is so important to take steps to control and be able to cope with the stressors in your life.
